Career and Technical Education (CTE) combines academic and technical skills with the knowledge and training needed to succeed in today's labor market. It added workplace competencies in a real-world, applied context. The goal is the prepared students for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers. Foundational to CTE are rigorous program standards and partnerships with business and industry. Some of these classes are taught in the high schools and other classes are taught onsite at TCALC (Topeka Center for Advanced Learning and Careers) at 500 SW Tuffy Kellogg Drive. TCALC is part of the national CAPS Network, which is dedicated to creating rich and meaningful experiences for students and partners.
