The summer music program will consist of Summer Band, Summer Choir and Summer Strings. All sessions will be located at Highland Park High School, 2424 SE California Ave. The purpose of this program is the provide a musical experience in the early summer to help students retain musical skills they acquired during the school year. There is no cost for this program as it has been generously funded by the Topeka Public Schools Foundation.
Summer Band
Date: June 6 to July 1
Time: 8:00am - 10:00am
Grade Level: 5-8

Closing Concert: Thursday, June 30, at 6:00pm
Description: The Topeka Public Schools music program provides an opportunity for students to participate in band beyond the regular school year. There will be a band concert at the end of the program. Students must have played at least one year in band or have taken private lessons in grades 6 through 8 to qualify for the summer program.
